Come Sit A While, I Have A Story To Tell

DEAREST GENTLE VISITOR, MEET YOUR PLEASURE GUIDE

AFFINIA SAVOY

Long before there was an Affinia Savoy, there was a curious muse who found enormous pleasure in making people feel seen, heard, and most importantly, welcome.

For nearly a decade, my world revolved around international hospitality, travel, and homes. I was the smiling woman greeting you upon your hotel arrival in Japan, helping you feel comfortable on a long journey flight on international flights, arranging the little details of your stay in the US, showing you through a beautiful residences all over the world, and in each scenario, listening closely enough to understand what you needed—sometimes before you quite knew how to ask for it yourself. I loved it.

There is a unique kind of intimacy in good hospitality and service: remembering someone's preferences, wishing a happy birthday, noticing what puts them at ease, anticipating a need without making a spectacle of it. Those years quietly taught me that the most memorable experiences rarely come from extravagance alone. They come from attention in the details.

Outside of work, curiosity kept pulling me farther afield. Books became portals. Museums became other worlds. Theatre, art, history, live music, fashion, crafted cocktails, exotic meals, and faraway places became ways of understanding how other people had connected, loved, lived, celebrated and made beauty from ordinary life.

Travel and food only deepened the obsession. Every new place seemed to leave me with another question, another story and another reason to keep exploring and each story was best revered over a delicious native meal.

And somewhere along the way, I realized that nearly everything I loved shared the same thread:

beauty, ritual, curiosity, connection and the art of making another person feel wonderfully considered.

So Affinia, … This or That?

AFFINIA AT PRESENT

At present, I find myself living in New York City — a place that suits my appetite for beauty, movement, culture and reinvention rather perfectly.

By daylight, I move through the world of international real estate: beautiful homes, discerning people, architecture, escrows, hospitality and the quiet art of understanding what someone is truly looking for. After hours, another side of me comes alive — the “Romance Revivalist”, aesthete, gourmand, mystic and passporteer who believes life should still contain a little anticipation.

I’m happiest when my days hold contrast: an elegant dinner followed by ridiculous laughter, an afternoon lost inside a museum, a book tucked into my designer handbag, a beautifully made cocktail, an unexpected trip, a tarot deck on the table, silk at night and bare feet by morning.

I am deeply feminine, curious, affectionate and emotionally perceptive. I love people who think, who feel, who notice things, who still believe good manners matter, and who know that generosity is about far more than what can be purchased.

Those who spend time with me often say I feel familiar — easy to talk to, warm to be around, a little mysterious at first and much more playful once the veil lifts.

Perhaps that is the Pisces in me. Perhaps it is simply who I have become.

With me, you are invited to exhale, to laugh, to be curious, to be wanted — and to remember what it feels like to look forward to something or someone again.

This is the Affinia you are meeting now.

Building her life and legacy…one moment and one kiss at a time

Affinia’s Cabinet of

Curiosities

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

— Audrey Hepburn

What character will you be in my unfolding romance novel?

A BRIGHT AFFINIA FUTURE

I have never been terribly interested in building a life that merely looks impressive. I want one that feels beautifully lived.

There are still cities I haven’t wandered, books I haven’t read, dishes I haven’t tasted, languages I haven’t learned and stories I haven’t yet collected. I hope to keep building a life rich in beauty, curiosity, romance, art, friendship, freedom and the wonderful privilege of choosing how my time is spent.

Someday, I would love a home with history in its bones — gardens spilling into one another, bookshelves that never quite stop growing, flowers climbing where they probably shouldn’t and a dining table large enough for everyone I adore.

But I hope I never plan life so perfectly that there is no room left for surprise.

The loveliest chapters are often the ones we never saw coming.

Perhaps you’ll appear in one of mine.
